Microblade

What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair-like strokes using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural-looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the current condition of your preexisting eyebrows. It is considered to be semi-permanent. It is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis and this is why the strokes appear crisp and fine to replicate natural eyebrow hair. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them. The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker but fade significantly over a two week period.

It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. The pigment can stay on your skin from 1 to 3 years. A touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment. Topical anesthetics are applied before and during the treatment to alleviate any discomfort, however, every client has a different pain sensitivity. You will hear a scratch noise/sensation throughout. I am a social person, however, I ask for minimal talking during the strokes, because your muscles should be still for optimal results. I will have music playing during this procedure, please feel free to bring your headphones if it will help you relax.

Yes, all equipment is sterilized and sterile, disposable supplies.

Microblading is a two-step treatment, consisting of an initial procedure and then a Touch Up between 6-8 weeks after. The initial procedure is roughly 2.5-3.5 hours while the Touch up is 1-2 hours long. Please plan accordingly and allow for no rush, because beautiful brows do take time.
Initial Appointment:
After taking your before photo, I will draw the brow design in pencil so you get an idea of shape and form. (Please note that a certain shape that looks good on the JLO may not best suit you. The ultimate goal is to enhance YOUR beautiful features.) Once you have agreed on a shape, I will measure your eyebrows then we will decide on the color. Shortly after that, a topical anesthetic will be administered to ensure comfort. Once you’re numb, the initial pigment is deposited with Microblading strokes. The process of depositing more color will be done a total of 3-4 times.
Touch Up Appointment:
Due to the pigment fading, and for optimal results to last, a Touch Up is highly suggested. This is done between 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. This appointment is included in the initial fee and will expire after week 8. After that, a $50 touch up fee will be added. The reason behind this, is for photo purposes, if the timeline cannot be met, the before and after photos might not be the most accurate.

No and kind of… Let me explain: There’s no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness will disappear in a day or two. Your brows will appear darker initially (the second day the pigment is always the darkest), but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living. However, it is at your discretion on the activities you place on your schedule around this procedure. For example: I would not plan to go to a party or have family photos taken throughout the initial 7-10 days after each procedure. Please see after care instructions below:
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
– Do not work out the day of the procedure.
– Do not tan or have sunburned face.
– Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or IBUprofen 24 hours before procedure.
– No alcohol or caffeine on the day of the procedure.
– No waxing or tinting 3 days before.
– Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
– NO water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 7-10 days.
– 4-5 hours after the procedure, clean the area with sterile water and a cotton pad, gauze or q-tip and allow to air dry.
– DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring.
– Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure.
– Avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 days.
– NO facials, botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
– Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
PLEASE NOTE: You are advised to keep the skin clean and dry – that means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking, peeling, scratching or rubbing the tattoo, this may result in a loss of color and scarring. You can still wash your hair and face, just please be aware during the healing process. Once they’re healed up, you treat them as your own! =) Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.

Yes, it does happen and yes it’s true. After your initial appointment, there is a Touch Up, however a third appointment can be set up if there is an issue. Please feel free to reach out to me any time during your healing process for questions. Some skin may react in a way that creates the skin to push out the foreign body of pigment by producing an extreme scab. This can eventually fall off taking all the pigment with it. There is a condition called Pigment Allergy (PPD Allergy, a condition known by dermatologists) or Auto Immune disease symptoms (the client may not even be aware of it). The skin would have overreacted and become super sensitive to the pigment and reject it at any cost. I purchased my pigments from Tina Davies / Perma Blend. The following are the pigment key notes from their website:
* Developed by Tina Davies
* Formula exclusive to Perma Blend
* Rich, natural colors
* Hypoallergenic, mineral-based formula
* Produces crisp, long-lasting hair strokes
* Produced with FDA-approved ingredients
* Made in USA

Unfortunately, just like any beauty service/procedure, I cannot guarantee results. How the skin will react is different for everyone and many factors are to be taken into consideration. Skin type, age, scarring, diet, stress levels, facial products used, etc. all play a key role in how the pigment will hold, which is why it is important to know that more than one touch up may be required. However, I can guarantee that your face and faith in my artistry is extremely important and I will give you my best to leave happy with natural looking eyebrows.

Please do not bring children or pets to your appointment. if you have a friend that already has an appointment booked, you may bring them so they may get to experience the procedure beforehand.
